Garland of Joy

Flowers weaved by nimble fingers,
Gently arranged in a string;
Suave and prosaic was her look,
Reflected in the stream.
Long was her wait,but she ignored all;
His promise she knew would never befall..
He would come to wear the garland of joy;
Her hopes were entitled to servoy.
Rajput king was at war,to drive the Kafirs out of his domain…
He Left behind his newly wedded wife..
It was Ashtachaturdashi,she remembered it heavily rain…
The sanguine sun set glimmering in the western sky;
There was a knock at the door,entered king’s wounded spy..
Glorious death was won by the king;
Gasped his last breath taking the name of his beloved queen..
Rajput palace stood in doomed muse;
as soon the spy broke the news,
Needle poked those nimble fingers;candle shimmered..
Feminine figure drooped lame;
laid aside her unsewn garland..
Rajput mourners lined up;
Jauhar’s fire was set up..
Queen was set to sacrifice;
With one regret in rear;
Garland she weaved received no neck to wear…

  1. pleasure comes with fulfilment of desire——— getting what u want and wanting what u get. happiness comes with the fulfilment of person.and much of our moral confusion comes from the fact that we no longer know what happiness is, nor how to obtain it………………
